whether with a skirt or with jeans...there are lots of fun ways to incorporate a swimsuit into your little doll's everyday wear. just make sure to use ones that won't bulk up in her little pants of skirt.

how funny is it that i posted this just the other day and today i find out hautelook & lucky magazine want right bank babies!?!?

 as a lover of magazines and a lover of children's fashion you can imagine how excited i got when i heard the news that lucky magazine would be launching a children's version of their ever so popular publication.  aptly named, LuckyKids, the magazine reads just like the "mommy" version with lots of fun finds and great shopping advice. it also features room tours, blogger contributions, and of course some of the coolest kids clothing out there!

a very parisian madeline party.

she enjoyed her birthday so very much thanks to my dear friend angela {if you visit my blog often you know who she is}. i showed you a sneak peek of the party here a few weeks ago and BOY-OH-BOY did angela deliver! every detail was thought out and executed perfectly. best of ALL mimi was so happy and so excited with the set up that when we entered the living room she said to me in her perfect little voice, "mommy-this is for me?!! for my birFday?!!".  she is such a special little girl-that girl of mine... always so thankful for everything. it makes me want to give her the world! but since mommy and papa can't technically give her the world...we gave her a very parisian madeline party instead.

there is something so chic about a black and white ensemble. from polka dots, to stripes, to color block... i love to dress my dolls in the cool color combo. although timeless, some seasons you don't find any black and white pieces for kids. luckily, this season there is an abundance to choose from! here are a few of my faves...

a simple moment. their first garage sale.

i loooooove me a good garage sale. i can rummage through junk all day long. 

apparently, i am not the only one... 

my beauties rummaged and rummaged and rummaged some more this past weekend...scoring themselves a vtech learning system with tons of games!! they literally made me laugh OUT LOUD when they found the darn thing. upon arriving at the garage sale, samirah skipped around from section to section and then suddenly stopped in her tracks. a minute later she yelled, "tister!!!! come see this game!!!". nylah, who was on the other side of the driveway, immediately ran over and inspected every part of the orange console her sister had just discovered. upon finishing her inspection she began to explain to her sister that they would be taking the console home, they would attach it to the t.v., and then they would sing. samirah couldn't contain her excitement...she snatched the microphone from her sister's hand and began belting out her abc's. the best part was her extending the microphone towards nylah every couple of seconds inviting her to join her in her song. i seriously could not handle the cuteness.

it was a simple moment. a moment between sisters who discovered their first garage sale treasure together.
