a few months ago BRAVO aired one of the best-if not THE best-reality show on television
Nine by Design .
{i told you all about it HERE}
i was obsessed with the show. i watched it every tuesday, tivo-ed it and then watched each episode again just to make sure i didn't miss anything. bob and cortney, their SEVEN children {wolfie, bellamy, tallulah, breaker, five, hollader, and major} along with their homes served up some serious eye candy every episode.
with that said let me get to the point of my post {there is a point}.
Canopy Beds
i LOVE them.
i have THIS one.
i love them because they are traditional, romantic, and remind me of when i was a little girl pretending to be a princess. i would use chairs on the corners of my bed to drape sheets across because i was convinced a real princess slept surrounded by flowing fabric. OK-so i watched sleeping beauty a little too much. anyhow, it's funny because i still get all giddy when i see a beautiful canopy bed.
now imagine how giddy i got when i saw tallulah and bellamy's room in one of the nine by design episodes. my immediate thought, "i have to have a bed like that for my dolls!". sadly for me, after doing a little bit of research i have come to find out the beds pictured are antiques from bali...MUST.BE.NICE. since i don't have the luxury of flying to bali and bringing home some beds that probably cost a gazillion dollars back with me, my beauties will have to make do with their ikea toddler beds for now .
either way it doesn't hurt to get inspired...
