one of the hardest things about the fashion industry is you always have to be a year ahead. as i type, i am looking at a stack of designs for fall 2011 that need to be finalized and pictures of our spring 2011 designs that were done months ago.
so why is that hard you ask? well, for starters waiting sucks....aaaaaaand yeah.....waiting sucks.
after working hard on sketching pieces, choosing fabrics, getting samples made, photographing the samples, adjusting the samples, and all the other things in between, you have to wait a whole six months {or more} to get the final products out to the public. AAAND to make things even crazier, by the time the final products are out you:
ONE. are kinda{just KINDA} over them because the designs are kinda old news to you even though they're new to everyone else
&
TWO: you are so consumed with the next season's collection you hardly have time to enjoy the current.
don't get me wrong, i don't want you to think i am complaining. NO WAY. i love what i do and i find joy in the WHOLE process...even the sucky waiting part.
so after much waiting, Spring 2011 is finally going into production and

i'm especially excited to see some of my own designs and ideas come to life as it is the first collection i actively played a role in designing!

like me, you will have to wait a few more months to see more and to purchase. GRRRR.
