throwback thursday. our first visit to disneyland

 i wanted to start a new series on the blog where i document some of my fondest memories with my little family. i thought i'd call it something clever like, throwback thursday, and since thursday came and went before i could visit blogland...we are just going to pretend today is thursday.

 when i first started blogging, my intention was to use this little piece of the virtual universe to document my memories and to share about my career and love for the children's fashion industry.  three years later, as the blog slowly evolves, i realized i don't document the moments with my beauties as much as i initially intended. so from here on out, every week, i will be taking a walk down memory lane and will be posting photos of some of the magical moments i have spent with the most important people in my life. moments i want to remember forever.

there is something magical that happens at disneyland during christmas. it is for this reason the mister and i knew it would be the perfect time to visit the park with our beauties for the first time. the combination of lights, fireworks, and "snow" set the perfect backdrop for creating memories that will last a lifetime. our nylah was a little apprehensive about meeting the princesses and nervously sipped on her "appow jewce" while looking on at her big sissy.  samirah was in HEAVEN. of all the princesses, belle captivated her the most...she lovingly gazed at her without saying a single word {which is a big deal for our little chatterbox}. i felt every bit as emotional as she did watching her meet the characters she so loved...i was a big melted mess at the end of her little meet & greet. the highlight of the day for nylah was the small world ride. her beautiful brown eyes twinkled as our boat passed through the worlds of children singing and dancing the classic tune. she held on tight the entire time but i knew her anx was not out of fear but out of an overwhelming feeling of excitement. i can still remember every part of that day like it happened yesterday. and the best part about it? so can my beauties.
