when it comes to party centerpieces i always prefer an arrangement of fresh flowers. there are times however, when a limited budget doesn't allow for them.
this past weekend i needed to make centerpieces for my girlfriend's thirtieth birthday party and my budget was pretty much non existent.
so what's a girl with caviar dreams on a tuna fish diet supposed to do? well, she goes to the dollar tree of course! a few days before the party i combed the aisles of my local dollar tree and found everything i needed to make an elegant centerpiece. here's how i did it...
what you'll need:
dollar tree spool of ribbon {i used satin but grosgrain will work just as nicely}
tape
glue gun
scissors
step one:
tape ribbon to bottom of vase.
step two:
tightly wrap ribbon around vase, slightly overlapping layers.
step three:
continue to wrap ribbon all the way to the top of the vase, use glue gun to secure ribbon.
step four:
add two rows of tape to hold up flowers.
{i separated the bushel into three sections to give a more natural look}
step five:
arrange & glue leaves to cover tape at top of vase & VOILA-an elegant centerpiece for around THREE BUCKS!

LOVE THIS! Thank you.
