my baby beauty turns 2.

i'm like 2 months late with this post but  it's better late than never.

she'll never be the late type like her mama-that baby beauty of mine.  her daddy is a very punctual guy and she's a lot like him.

she's two going on twenty-two. right now she's into documentaries about the planet and Sub-Saharan animals.  no joke-she will sit through the entiiiiiiiiire show and then ask to watch the
"lan-i-mals" again.
her favorite songs include "tustin beemer" {baby by justin beiber}, "wolk dat bolly" {rock that body by black eyed peas}, and "zana" {hosana by brooke fraiser}.  her favorite things to do right now are swim, read, finger paint, eat tacos, and take walks with mama, papa, "tister", and
 "wo-man" {our labrador roman}.
she's bossy as all get out and usually on a mission-traits of a leader-i say she may just rule the world one day.
then there are those moments where she makes my world just stop.

 she grabs my face with both her little hands...stares deeply into my eyes...plants a long kiss on my lips...hugs my neck tightly...and whispers  "i-lu-yoo mummy" in her raspy voice.

if you are a mommy you know exactly what i'm talking about.  those moments in life with your babies that just take your breathe away and make you wonder how the heck you ever lived without them.

so in honor of our baby beauty's 2nd birthday we decided to throw her a
pool party fiesta
with all of her favorite things...
carne asada and chicken tacos made to order.
a pool.
cupcakes
a strawberry custard cake {from the same baker that made my wedding cake}
a killer pinata.
lots of pool toys.
lots of cousins and friends.
lots of FUN!
